Brand kid's smile. How to use electric toothbrush?- dentalland

Parents or caregivers usually give great interest and care to their new baby ,but regrettably they do not know how to  handle and deal with baby's mouth.

So let us learn you how to clean their gum pads and teeth properly ...

Few days after birth
Clean the gums by wiping them  with  a clean, moist  gauze pad or wash cloth after each feeding time .

After emergence of front four teeth from 6 :14 months
Brush your child's teeth twice  a day  with a child-size toothbrush and  a pea-sized  amount  of fluoride toothpaste. When your child has two teeth that  touch, you should begin cleaning between their teeth  daily.

Children younger than 3 years
Caregivers  should begin  brushing children’s teeth as soon  as they  begin  to come into  the  mouth by using fluoride  toothpaste  in an  amount no more than  a smear or the size of  a grain of  rice. Brush teeth  thoroughly twice per  day (morning  and  night) . Supervise  children’s brushing  to ensure that  they use  the  appropriate amount of  toothpaste.

Between 3:6 years
Use pea size amount of fluoride toothpaste as previous.

N.B ,your child should spit off the toothpaste ,not swallow it as it may cause systemic fluorosis.     Unless use non fluoridated toothpaste .

Technique of tooth brushing ( Fones or circular method)
Sit the child in your lap, facing away from you, or stand behind taller children. Tilt the child's head back against your body so you can see all the surfaces of the teeth.
Angle the bristles of the toothbrush towards the gum. Move the brush in gentle circles to clean the outer sides of the teeth and gums.
 Electric toothbrush
put the paste on the brush. place it in the mouth at 45ْ against tooth surface. turn it on and move it slowly along teeth. brush teeth and gum alternatively. clean the outer surface then the inner surface then the chewing one. incline the brush head so the bristles can reach the inter dental spaces. you do not have to exert effort, just let it to do the work. It has pressure sensor and time timer.
the sensor gives alerts when the pressure is too high. the timer guarantees that you brush each quadrant for 30 seconds. You should replace the brush head after 3 months.

Brushing is so important not to get your child in the dilemma of dental caries as we talked in childhood caries article.
hope you like it
good bye
